Integration is the phase where skills come to life in authentic reading and writing.

Skills come together across reading, writing, spelling, and language comprehension.
Students apply strategies in connected text and academic vocabulary with decreasing reliance on teacher prompting.

Fluency is the phase of effortless performance.
The learner uses the skill rapidly, accurately, and confidently, freeing the brain for higher-level thinking, comprehension, and creativity.
